Ch-ch-ch-changes…

So, now that the cat is out of the bag and we’ve finally gone public to our family and friends, I decided it’s time to share some exciting news with the blog kingdom.  All six of you.

As I’ve mentioned before, Tyler's boss is retiring at the end of this term and he {Tyler} has been trying to figure out what his next move is going to be. We've been debating for some time, trying to figure out if we stay in DC, move South, stay in politics, move to the private sector, etc...  Also not a secret, the man travels a lot!  So a few months ago on a trip to Saudi, T was approached by BP to help out with their US government relations.  The offer was perfect and totally suited to Tyler's talents.  He was really excited.

But then we found out it's based in London.  As in, ENGLAND.

So, after A LOT of tossing and turning and praying and debating, we decided to take the position and are making a big move across the pond soon right after Christmas!

The good news is that, since Tyler's job will be to help with US relations, we will be traveling back and forth to the States a lot -- so we will still be able to see our family & friends pretty often.  We are simultaneously terrified and excited!

Just kidding.

We're not moving to London.
But we are having a BABY!! {How else do you blog about "big changes" without immediately tipping everyone off??}

After five wonderful years of marital selfishness, Baby G will be making his or her debut in January 2013.  So far, I have been feeling great and a recent ultrasound confirmed Baby G is strong and healthy and already sucking its thumb.  We are thrilled to finally share this news with everyone!

{And still simultaneously terrified and excited.}

                    {Aren’t those the cutest little feet you’ve ever seen??}

We so appreciate your friendship and can't wait to share the rest of this big journey with you!

"Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of heavenly lights..." James 1:17

{Congratulations if you made it to the end of this post!  We sent this email to about a hundred people over the weekend and received several recommendations on where we should live in London—awkward!}

Cheerio!
