Er, I just wanted to say hi readers. I know it's been almost a week since I posted... I started my "for real" studying for Boards this week and even though I get bored to death and take random googling breaks to save my sanity, I just haven't felt good about stopping long enough to write a blog.
I DID, though, work my first official day of work this week (hello, MILESTONE!)... It was also my turn to lead Bible study on Tuesday AND I had my first blind date with a fellow blogger and we really hit it off (I think? AnnieLaurie-- your thoughts?), so I've been busy...
I've established a strict study schedule and so far am right on track. I'll keep trucking along for the next few weeks, but I'm really hoping that the next week holds pictures of my latest Fall craft, better outcomes for my Georgia Bulldawgs (though expectations are low without Mr. Green), and pictures of my unusually cool week of mail deliveries.
Tonight we hit up a wine bar for happy hour with our friends Chris and Alison (who showed up with a giant green cast on her arm- WHAT??), which quickly turned into dinner, swapping stories about our respective blind dates that turned into marriages, our crazy families, and who's cooking what on the Thanksgiving we're apparently going to share... Tomorrow holds more studying, lots of football, and an engagement party for our good friends Brad and Adrienne (who we affectionately refer to as Ken and Barbie because they're both tall, blonde, and beautiful...).
The weather is great here (when I manage to make it outside of my cave)-- the highs have been in the 70s and each morning and evening it's very brisk and cool. No one's selling firewood yet for our fire pit, but we'll be the first ones in line when they do! For now, TGrass is asleep on the couch next to me (surprise, surprise) and breathing so loud it sounds like he's hooked up to a ventilator, so I think that's my cue to drag him upstairs.
Hope you've all had a great week and an even better weekend ahead. Here's a shout out to all of my friends who've had babies recently or have ones coming this week-- thinking of and praying for you (not that you're reading my blog right now...). For now, goodnight and thanks for not forgetting about me! :)
(And go Dawgs!)
